The Family Association provides Access and Support through our knowledgeable Family Association staff; up-to-date University Information by way of our monthly newsletter and periodic email updates; and special Involvement Opportunities allowing members to stay connected to the university. In addition, through Family Association collaborations with university businesses and surrounding university businesses, our members receive Special Discounts and Offers when they are on campus.
Access and Support
It is our mission to provide support to LSU’s parents and to give you access to the information you need. We invite members to call us with questions, problems, or just chat. The buck will stop with us! We'll do whatever it takes to solve your problems or get answers to your questions.
University Information
The Family Association's monthly newsletter, The Campus Link, is designed to give you timely information that you need to know and that your student might forget to tell you. You'll see articles that keep you updated on the happenings at LSU, give you information about what's affecting your student's life, and let you know important deadlines. In addition, The Family Association sends out Periodic Email Updates regarding various university programs, services and processes to Family Association members with email addresses on file. The Campus Link and our Periodic Email Updates answer many of your questions before you even know to ask them!
Involvement Opportunities
Are you wondering how to stay involved in your student's life while still allowing him or her to become independent? By joining the Family Association, you have the opportunity to become involved in many university educational and social activities as well as to meet other family members of LSU students. We help you to become a part of the LSU family!
Special Discounts and Offers
In addition to Access and Support, University Information, and Involvement Opportunities, the Family Association offers unique benefits designed to make you feel like a part of the LSU family and allows you to take advantage of unique and special university offerings. To receive the following benefits, you must present your Family Association membership card and/or Membership ID number.
All Parent Association members receive the following special benefits:
- LSU University Recreation (UREC) - As a member of the LSU Family Association, you have the opportunity to become a part of the University’s cutting-edge, recreational programs, services, and facilities. Family Association members receive two (2) free guest passes and are eligible to purchase a UREC membership at the affiliate rate. Memberships may be purchased on a semester or annual basis. For those who visit campus less frequently, you can purchase a daily pass for just $10 per person and have access to UREC just by showing your current Family Association membership card. - LSU Golf Course – As a member of the LSU Family Association you have the opportunity to purchase one round of golf, at the LSU Golf Course, at the Faculty/Staff rate. Please visit our website for current rates. When you call to reserve a tee time, tell the staff person that you are a member of the LSU Family Association. You must present your membership card upon arrival. This offer is only valid on one visit to the Course.
